Power Feed Engage Handle
on Midas 1220 LTDs after May 2013
This handle is used to engage the power feed for either the lead screw (X-‐Axis) or cross feed (Y-‐Axis).

neutral
position.
When
in
this
neutral
position,
it
is
not
engaged
with
either
feed
screw.

Pulling
the
power
feed
lever
toward
you,
while
standing
in
front
of
the
machine,
will
engage
the
Y
axis
power
feed,
as
shown
in
Figure
2.
Power
on
the
cross
feed
is
most
often
used
in
milling
operations,
or
facing
operations
on
the
lathe.

3) To engage the power feed on the
lead screw, push the power feed
lever knob away from you until it
engages at an angle that is parallel
to the lathe bed. This position is
shown in Figure 3. Powering the X
Axis is most commonly used in
threading and finishing operations
on the lathe.
