MD44-DV Direct Vent Vented Fireplace
Installation
It is extremely important that you do not cover the Carry Over Port
with embers. Doing so may cause delayed ignition of the burner.
Embers may be placed in the burner tray and over the burner head.
Keep the burner ports clear as much as possible as this will allow for
the best “Glow” of the embers. See the illustration below for details.

Optional Blowers
The MD44-DV fireplaces features an optional blower kit for
increasing heat circulation into the living space. (Part No.
RFK1060).
Installations in Canada which employ the
optional Blower Kit, must
be electrically grounded in accordance with CSA C22.1 Canadian
Electrical Code Part 1 and/or Local Codes.
Installations in the USA employ the
optional Blower Kit, must be
grounded in accordance with local codes or, in the absence of local
codes, with the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70-1987.
NOTE:
If any of the original wire supplied with the
appliance is replaced, it must be replaced with the
same type, or its equivalent.
