Metal/Zirconia Primer
Instructions for Use
Description
Metal/Zirconia Primer is a single-component primer
promoting an adhesive bond between luting composites
(particularly Multilink N) and indirect restorations made of
zirconium oxide and aluminium oxide ceramic or metal and
metal-ceramic.
Composition
Phosphonic acid methacrylate and methacrylate crosslink-
ing agent in an organic solvent.
Indication
Metal/Zirconia Primer serves as bonding agent and is used
to create a durable chemical bond between luting
composites and zirconium oxide, aluminium oxide, metal
and metal-ceramic restorations.
Contraindications
– Any use not listed in the indications.
– If a patient is known to be allergic to any of the
ingredients of Metal/Zirconia Primer.
Side effects
To date, no systemic side effects are known.
In rare cases, components of Metal/Zirconia Primer may
lead to sensitization. Metal/Zirconia Primer should not be
used in such cases.
Interactions
Contamination with saliva, blood or water must absolutely
be avoided during the entire procedure.

Adhesive cementation of prosthetic restorations:
1.1 Preparing the restoration
1.1.1 Zirconium oxide (e.g. IPS e.max ZirCAD) or alumini-
um oxide restorations
