2. If a light-curing composite is used, ExciTE F DSC must be
pre-cured. This is done as described in chapter “Indirect
Restorations”, section 5.
3. Apply the composite restorative (e.g. Tetric EvoCeram)
according to the instructions of the manufacturer.
Warnings
– ExciTE F DSC is an irritant. Contact with the skin,
mucous membrane or eyes should be avoided. In case of
skin contact, immediately wash with copious amounts
of water.
– If the material should come into contact with the eyes,
immediately rinse with copious amounts of water for at
least 15 minutes and consult a physician or ophthalmol-
ogist.
– In rare cases, contact with the skin may cause
sensitization to the ingredients.
– Commercial medical gloves do not provide protection
against the sensitizing effects of methacrylates.
Note on Total Etch
Total Etch is a gel for enamel etching and dentin condition-
ing. It contains phosphoric acid (37 wt% in water),
thickening agent and colour pigments. The surfaces of glass
ionomer-based bases/liners are dissolved by Total Etch.
Warning
–
When filling the Total Etch small syringe
always wear protective goggles and gloves.
Observe the Total Etch instructions for use and do not fill
the Total Etch syringe with etchant gel from jumbo
syringes of other manufacturers.
– Total Etch contains phosphoric acid and is
corrosive. Avoid contact with the eyes, mucous
membrane and skin (goggles are recommended for both
patients and operators). After contact with the eyes,
immediately rinse them with copious amounts of water
for at least 15 minutes and see a physician/ophthalmol-
ogist.
– After skin contact, immediately rinse with copious
amounts of water.
– After contact with sensitive materials (surfaces,
clothing), immediately clean with copious amounts of
water.
Storage
– Expiry date: see label/packaging
– Storage temperature: 2-28 °C (36-82 °F)
