STANDBY MODE
The MEQ1000A has a s tandby output m ode w hic h turns off the RF output. This c an be us ed w hen it is des irable to tem porarily dis -
able the output w ithout unplugging the AC line c ord. Selec t STANDBY in the OUTPU T FOR MAT m enu.
OVER TEMPERATURE SENSOR
Tem perature m onitoring is built into thes e produc ts . If the ventilation s lots or fan output opening are block ed or the fan should s top,
overheating c an occ ur. If this c ondition is detected, the default LCD mess age w ill c hange to OVER TEMP. If this occ urs , the prob- lem
s hould be c orrec ted as s oon as poss ible. The unit w ill rem ain operational but the ventilation m us t be res tored to prevent pre- m ature
part failures due to overheating.
STATUS DISPL AYS
W hen the units are not in the adjus t/program m ode, s tatus displays are s how n. Thes e vary by input m odule:

m aximum perc entage of buffer c apac ity that has occ urred sinc e the unit w as last programmed on the right s ide, for the QAM output
s elec ted.
REMOTE CONTROL AND MONITORIN G
The MEQ1000A m ay be us ed w ith the 'Drake Digital Headend Rem ote Control Softw are' program to allow rem ote m onitoring or control.
Only vers ion 2.10.0 or new er is c om patible w ith the MEQ1000A. If an SDE24 m odule is installed the Drak e Digital Headend Rem ote
Control Softw are vers ion m us t be vers ion 3.1.2 or above.
Connec t the RS232 c able c om ing from the PC or m odem to the RS232 IN DB9 rear panel connec tor.
As sign a UNIT ID (1 to 63) to us e the remote program . Leave at, or s et to, 0 if no rem ote acc ess is desired.
Set the RS232 BAUD RATE to m atc h the PC s etting.
