Temperature Sensor Replacement
The temperature component is a small sensor board inside a plastic housing (Figure 44). This
will be mounted outside, typically either near the display or near a building. If the
temperature sensor is not working correctly, the internal sensor can be replaced by accessing
it in the following steps:
1. Open the temperature sensor housing by removing the four nuts from the bottom,
and removing the five bottom discs. Three of the discs are solid, while the center two
have a square hole in them to fit around the sensor.
2. Label the wires connected to the temperature sensor board and then disconnect the
cable from the temperature sensor terminal block in the sensor housing.
3. Remove the two screws holding the board to the plastic disc. Install the new board,
and replace the two screws.
4. Reconnect the cable to the temperature sensor board, making sure all the wires make
a good electrical connection.
5. Route cable around the sensor board (Figure 43) and then reassemble the sensor
enclosure.
