Label Gone Timeout
This feature sets the time after the last label segment is seen before the reader prepares for a new
label. The timeout can be set within a range of 10 milliseconds to 2,550 milliseconds (2.55
seconds) in 10ms increments. Label Gone Timeout does not apply to scan modes that require a
trigger pull for each label that is read
Follow these instructions to set this feature:
1. Determine the desired setting in milliseconds.
2. Divide the desired setting by 10 (setting is in 10ms increments). Pad the result with lead-
ing zeroes to yield three digits. For example: 0 = 000, 5 = 005, 20 = 020, etc.
3. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE barcode to enter Programming
Mode.
4. Scan the barcode: SELECT LABEL GONE TIMEOUT SETTING.
5. Scan the appropriate three alpha-numeric characters from the keypad in
Appendix E, Key-
pad
representing the duration which was determined in the steps above. You will hear a
two-beep indication after the last character.
NOTE
6. Scan the ENTER/EXIT PROGRAMMING MODE barcode to exit Programming
Mode.
This completes the procedure. See Table
2
for some examples of how to set this feature.
