This section gives you functions to configure the system based on the
specific features of the chipset. The chipset manages bus speeds and
access to system memory resources. These items should not be altered
unless necessary. The default settings have been chosen because they
provide the best operating conditions for your system. The only time you
might consider making any changes would be if you discovered some in-
compatibility or that data was being lost while using your system.
System BIOS Cacheable
When this field is enabled, accesses to the system BIOS ROM addressed
at F0000H-FFFFFH are cached, provided that the cache controller is en-
abled. The larger the range of the Cache RAM, the higher the efficiency
of the system.
Video BIOS Cacheable
As with caching the system BIOS, enabling the Video BIOS cache will al-
low access to video BIOS addresssed at C0000H to C7FFFH to be cached,
if the cache controller is also enabled. The larger the range of the Cache
RAM, the faster the video performance.
On-Chip Frame Buffer Size
This field is used to select the onboard VGA’s frame buffer size that is
shared from the system memory.
Boot Display
Selects the type of display to use when the system boots.
Panel Number
Selects the type of panel that you are using.
