6.2 Power Connections
WESII units are available as either PoE or non-PoE units.
6.2.1 Power Injector Module for the non-PoE WESII
Non-PoE WESII units are supplied with a mid-span Power Injector Module (PIM) and a
standard 24Vdc, 500mA Power Supply Unit.
Note: The Power Injector Modules are not weatherproof units and must be protected
from moisture.
Power – Power supply input
OUT – Connect to the WESII unit
IN – Connect to the Ethernet device
For extreme temperature conditions there is also a KBC Networks Industrial DIN Rail
power supply available, part number MDR-20-24. These units provide 24W at 24Vdc.
These units need to be purchased separately, for further details please contact KBC
Networks.
Note: KBC Networks’ WESII non-PoE units are mid-span compliant and must be
powered using the supplied KBC Networks’ Power Injection Module.
