1. INTRODUCTION
The Nexen TM310T/TM340 Tension Meters are designed
for web tension systems that utilize load cell based tension
sensors to measure tension and provide amplified signals
for control with auxiliary equipment and recording.
The TM310T/TM340 Tension Meter series provides
measurement display and amplification for low output
voltage tension sensors used in web processing equipment
for materials such as paper, film, textile, and rubber. The
Tension Meter features an internal calibration system to
simplify the calibration procedure and does not require the
adjustment of potentiometers or use of a multimeter in the
calibration procedure.
The TM310T/TM340 Tension Meters display the measured
tension on a five digit display. In addition to the front panel
reading, the Tension Meter provides a selectable voltage
or current control output for use with external equipment,
independent and summed tension signals for monitoring,
DC relay contacts for tension alarms, and RS-485 serial
output for monitoring.
TM310T
The TM310T Tension Meter is the DIN Rail mount version
of the Tension Meter family.
TM340
The TM340 Tension Meter is the Panel Mount version of
the Tension Meter family.
