All TASER ECD deployments should be in accordance with department policies and procedures.

Normally, aim the laser at the preferred target areas of the body, which are the lower torso (when the subject is
facing you), legs, and the subject’s back.

Deploying the X3 ECD at the suspect’s back offers several advantages:

• Clothing fits tighter.
• Surprise factor.
• Stronger muscles – even more effective.
• Less likelihood of a head, face, throat, breast, or groin exposure.
