• If there is no change in lung resistance, contact Laerdal Technical

Service.

MECHANICAL NOISE DURING

AUSCULTATION

In the Instructor Application, click .

BATTERIES

Problem

• Battery life is less than 150 minutes with healthy patient and fully

charged batteries.

Possible Solutions

• Batteries may be old, (recommended lifetime is 200 discharge

cycles). Insert new batteries.

• Compressor may not function properly; consult your local

Laerdal Technical Services Centre.

PULSES

Problem

• Cannot feel pedal pulses

Possible Solutions

• Skin may be too tight over pulse units – readjust skin and reboot.

CLINICAL FEATURES

PNEUMOTHORAX

BLADDERS

Problem

• Experience problems with pneumothorax bladders.

Solution

• Check tubing connection at base of the bladder to ensure that

tubing has not been disconnected.

MANIKIN SHUTDOWN

Problem

• The manikin is unresponsive.

Solution

Press and hold the button for 10 sec to force the manikin
to shutdown.
