arrow key right (field East will be
marked) resp.
left (field West will be marked) to
rotate the antenna to the desired position. Keep the
appropriate key depressed until the desired position is
reached.
9.3.2.3 Automatic detail adjustment (Autofocus)
Before storing the satellite position in memory you should
perform an automatic focussing procedure. This will set the
antenna to optimum reception in terms of measurable
parameters.

Press the
yellow function key Actions to open the
window showing the actions available.

Now use the
arrow keys up/down to mark the line
Auto Focus.
>
Confirm by pressing
OK.
>
Press the
green key Auto Focus to start the auto-
focus procedure.
The message
Auto Focus
(Fig. 9-13)
will be dis-
played while the automatic adjustment is in progress.
9.3.3 Storing a satellite position
Once you have completed work on the function Autofocus,
you must still store the satellite position in memory.
>
Use the
arrow keys to mark the field Store.
>
Press
OK.
The test transponder set will now check whether a sig-
nal is being received at this position. It will also check
whether the position corresponds with one of the pre-
programmed positions.

If this is the case, the following message will be dis-
played:
Orbital position xx found. Store
satellite ?

To store the satellite position, use the
arrow keys
right/left to mark the field Yes and confirm by
pressing
OK.
If the test transponder procedure does not recognize a
pre-programmed position, or if the signal received is
too weak, appropriate messages will be displayed on
screen.
