Change Engine Coolant
Change coolant every 2 years or 2000 hours.
See Recommended Coolant on page 83.
To change coolant:
1. Locate drains at the side of the radiator
tanks.
2. Remove fill cap and drain coolant and close
drain valves.
3. Fill with approved coolant to the bottom of
radiator fill neck. Capacity is 1.5 gal (5.7 L).
4. Inspect radiator cap and replace if seal is
damaged.
5. Install cap.
6. Fill coolant overflow bottle with approved coolant to half full.
7. Run engine with thermostat open (>185°F/ 85°C engine temperature) for several minutes.
8. Stop engine and let cool completely.
9. Remove cap and fill with coolant to the bottom of the fill neck. Replace cap.
