• The 2

test confirms that the pressure is strong enough to provide a tight seal.
• The 3
rd
test confirms that the rope gasket is adequately centered on the doorframe when the door is
latched tight
• The 4
th
test is a final check to make sure the door is not tilted.
Measure the distance between the top of the
doorframe and the bend in the faceplate. Then measure between the bottom of the doorframe and the bend in the faceplate
The difference between the 2 measurements must be 2 mm or less.
Cut photocopy grade paper into a 50-
60 mm x 200 - 250 mm strip. Insert
the strip at top, close door and attempt
to remove. The paper must be tightly
held and cannot be pulled out. The
pressure must be such that the paper
will tear before it slides out.
Repeat at side left, side right, and
bottom center.
Chalk the doorframe as
shown and then latch
the door tight to
