SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS
TO REMOVE HOOD (See Figs. 41 and 42)
» Raise hood,
o Discxinnect headlight wire harness connector
o Remove screw used to attach hood lanyard to front of
engine, Hoid hood securely to prevent hood from failing
® Remove cievis pins, flatwashers and hairpins used to
attach hood to mounting brackets

To reinstail,, reverse above procedure
ENGINE
TO ADJUST CHOKE CONTROL
(See Fig. 43)
The choke control has been preset at factory and adjustment
should noi be necessary. Check adjustment as described
below before loosening clamp screw If adjustment is
rtecessary,'proceed as foTSows

Move choke control to "CHOKE" position Carburetor
choke should be ciosed If not choke needs to be
adjusted,
« Place control fever in "CHOKE" position. Loosen casing
ciamp screw
e Move easing and wire until choke is completely closed

Tighten casing clamp screw
