SERVICE AND ADJUSTMENTS
TO ADJUST SHIFT CONTROL LEVER
(See Fig. 36B)
Adjustment is only requited if neutral is not obtained when shift
control lever is in neutral slot

Place shift control lever in
NEUTRAL
position.

Try to push tractor You should be able to push when shift
control lever is in neutral position If you cannot push
,, tractor, adjust as follows
Locate neutral position with shift control lever.
Loosen screw *A‘ on shift bracket on top of transaxle.
Place shift control lever into the neutral slot
Tighten screw ‘A’,,
Re-check adjustmarst as described above
NOTE:
You should not be able to push tractor when shift control
lever is in reverse or a forward range position.
TO REIViOVE WHEEL FOR REPAIRS
(See Figs. 37A and 37B)

Block up axle securely,
® On front wheels, remove hub cap, retaining ring and
washer (s) to remove wheef
0 On rear wheels, remove hub cap and bolts to remove
wheel
e Repair tire and re-assembte
e
On
rear wheels, align holes and reinstall bolts. Torquebolts
to 50 ft tbs
® On front wheels, replace washer(s), and retaining ring,
0 Replace hub caps.
