2.
Rough up the inside of the wheel pant with
sandpaper
.C
lean the area with alcohol and test fit the
retainer plate
.
Sand or tr
im the plate as necessar
y f
o
r
it to la
y flat on the pant.
Use epo
xy to attach the plate
to the pant.
Dab a bit of petroleum jelly to the end of
the landing gear wire and fit it into the retainer plate
.
The jelly will pre
v
ent epo
xy from stic
king to the wire
.
The landing gear wire will hold the plate in the correct
position while the epo
xy cures
.

Thread 3 mm set scre
ws into tw
o 4 mm wheel
collars
.
Install the wheel into the wheel pant b
y
secur
ing a wheel collar to each side of it as sho
wn in
the picture
.
File a small flat spot on the gear wire
where the set scre
ws will be tightened.
Be sure that
the wheel rotates smoothly on the landing gear wire
.
Add oil to the gear wire if necessar
y.

Repeat these steps f

r the other wheel pant.

est fit the landing gear wire into the wing.

Be sure the tail
wheel rotates freely when the set scre
w is tightened.
Oil the wheel if necessar
