3.3 DIVING
3.3.1 Basic Dive Data
The dive computer will remain in the SURFACE mode at depths less than 1.2 m
[4 ft]. At depths greater than 1.2 m the instrument will go into the DIVE mode.
Each piece of information on the display is clearly marked (Fig. 3.8). During a no-
decompression dive, the following information will be shown:
the available no-decompression time (a) in minutes is shown as NO DEC
TIME. It is calculated based on the five factors listed in Section 6.1,
OPERATING PRINCIPLES.
your present depth (d) is shown in meters [ft].
the elapsed dive time (f) in minutes in the lower right corner, shown as
DIVE TIME.
the personal/ altitude adjustment (e) setting (A0, A1, or A2).
In the lower left corner the following information will alternate:
the maximum depth during this dive (b) in meters [ft], indicated as MAX,
for about 5 seconds.
the water temperature (c), with °C for Centigrade [or °F for Fahrenheit], for
about 3 second.
