Using the DVD Writer Drive

The DVD Writer drive is a DVD+RW/+R drive
available on select models only.

The DVD Writer drive plays movie DVDs and music
CDs, reads data CDs and DVDs, and records files
to DVD+RW, DVD-R, CD-R, and CD-RW discs.

The guide for this drive is printed and included
in the computer box if your computer has a
DVD Writer drive.

There are two types of DVD discs:
DVD+RW/+R and DVD-R/RW. DVD-R,
DVD-RW, and DVD-RAM discs do not work
in the DVD+RW/+R drive.
