5 10 x 10 Flat Top Pergola Canopy
Follow steps one to four on the 10 x10 Flat top Pergola instructions.
In step 5, use the rafter couplers that are supplied with your Canopy
box. These couplers will not have the decorative trim around the
outer surface to prevent the Canopy from snagging and/or tearing.
Note: If you’re retroactively installing the canopy system onto an
existing pergola, you can also break off the trim ring around the
coupler. Please do so with care using a flat head screwdriver or a
putty knife.

Continue steps five through seven as per the 10 x 10 Flat Top Pergola
instructions. Your pergola should look like the illustration below:

Connect the two pipes (80” and 31½” - the longer of the two shorter
ones).
Continue to assemble the retainer bar by connecting the two retainer
extrusions and coupler with the pipe assembly inside as shown.
Fasten all the pieces together by using four of the provided screws.
Note: Ensure that the steel pipe is not protruding out of either end.
The steel pipe might need to be pre-drilled using the drill bit
provided with your pergola hardware.
Repeat for second retainer.
