Unmount the microSD Card
Unmount the microSD card first before removing it to prevent corrupting the data
stored on it or damaging the microSD card.
Touch Home > > Settings > Storage > User storage. 1.
Touch Unmount SD card > OK. 2.
The microSD card will be mounted automatically when inserted. See Insert a microSD
Card .
Format the microSD Card
Touch Home > > Settings > Storage > User storage. 1.
Scroll down the screen, and touch Erase SD card > Erase SD card > Erase 2.

Note: The formatting procedure erases all the data on the microSD card, after which
the files CANNOT be retrieved. To prevent the loss of important data, please
check the contents before you format the card.
Use the Phone’s microSD Card as a USB Drive
To transfer music, pictures, and other files from your computer to your phone’s microSD
card, you need to set the phone’s microSD card as a USB drive.
Connect the phone to your computer using the supplied USB cable. The USB icon 1.
appears on the status bar.
Slide the status bar down to open the Notifications panel and touch the USB 2.

Select the Mass Storage check box. 3.
On your computer, the connected phone and the inserted microSD card are 4.
recognized as two removable disks. Navigate to these removable disks and open
the one containing the data from the microSD card.
Do one of the following: 5.
 Copy files from the computer to the root folder on the phone’s storage card.
 Copy files from the phone’s storage card to a folder on your computer or
computer desktop.
After copying the files, unmount the removable disk (that is, the connected 6.
phone) as required by your computer’s operating system to safely remove your
phone, and disconnect the phone from the computer.
