Personal preference setting
of picture and sound
Here also you can switch on DOS (see
appropriate section ‘Calling up DOS’).
Note. The contrast and the HUE are not
reported via DOS.
Picture and sound have already been
set in the factory in accordance with
the average standard. It is however
possible to set both picture and sound
according to your personal preference
and to store these settings in the
memory.
As a result the factory setting is
cancelled.
Setting
To do this, press the plus + or minus
— side of the relevant controls.

• Press button D «». The changes
implemented are now stored in the
memory.
‘Static convergence’
If the picture quality is adversely
affected by external interference
(magnetic fields), the reason for this
could be that the convergence is not
properly adjusted.
This can be checked and corrected as
follows:
• Open the cover.

The cross which now appears on the
picture should consist of a white
horizontal and a white vertical line.
It this is not the case and lines of
different colours are visible, proceed as
follows:
• Turn the buttons +/— RED
HORIZONTALS VERTICAL m so that
the red lines coincide with the fixed
cross already on the screen.
• Turn the buttons +/— BLUE
HORIZONTALS VERTICAL CD so that
the blue lines coincide with the fixed
cross already on the screen.
This must result in a white horizontal
and a white vertical line which together
form a cross.
• Press button S again to switch off
the test position.
Note: Do not place loudspeakers
(magnets) in the vicinity of the
projection TV because these can affect
the static convergence.
