This display has a resolution that is referred to as Full HD. The
state-of-the-art LCD screen technology has the full high-
definition widescreen resolution of 1080 progressive lines, each
with 1920 pixels. This allows the best possible picture quality for
HD input signals with up to 1080 lines. It produces brilliant flicker-free
progressive scan pictures with optimum brightness and superb colors. This
vibrant and sharp image will provide you with an enhanced viewing
experience.
HD ready for the highest quality display of HDTV signals
Enjoy the exceptional picture quality of a true High Definition TV
signal and be fully prepared for HD sources like HDTV
broadcast, Blu-ray DVD or HD-DVD. HD ready is a protected
label that offers picture quality beyond that of progressive scan.
It conforms to strict standards laid out by EICTA to offer a HD screen that
displays the benefits of resolution and picture quality of a High Definition TV
signal. It has a universal connection for both analog YPbPr and uncompressed
Digital connection of DVI or HDMI, supporting HDCP. It can display 720p, and
1080i signals at 50 and 60Hz.

Pixel Plus HD is a picture processing technology that enables
viewer to watch contents that are vivid, natural and real. The
result is a superbly razor sharp pictures with incredible details
and depth from any HD source.
Dynamic contrast enhancer delivering rich black details
You want the LCD flat display with the highest contrast and most vibrant
images even at wide viewing angle. The Philips dynamic contrast enhancer
uses video processing and unique dimming backlight technology. This delivers
deep rich black levels with increased detail. The dimming backlight increases
the contrast up to 5 times*, and at the same time improves the viewing angle.
It gives a bright, lifelike picture with high contrast and vibrant colors, (* factor
between 2 and 5, screen type and picture content dependant).
Incredible Surround™ for enhanced audio enjoyment
Incredible Surround is an audio technology from Philips that
dramatically magnifies the sound field to immerse you in the
audio. Using state-of-the-art electronic phase shifting, Incredible
Surround mixes sounds from left and right in such a way that it
expands the virtual distance between the two speakers. This wider spread
greatly enhances the stereo effect and creates a more natural sound
dimension. Incredible Surround allows you to experience total surround with
greater depth and width of sound, without the use of additional speakers.

This design style emphasizes a slim, compact look that saves space and fits in
anywhere.
Smart Picture and Smart Sound to personalize your viewing
Philips preset modes for Smart Picture and Smart Sound provide you with
direct access via a single key on the remote control. You can select optimized
picture and sound settings for the various picture and sound modes.
2 HDMI inputs for full digital HD connection in one cable
HDMI makes an uncompressed digital RGB connection from the
source to the screen. By eliminating conversion to an analog
signal, it delivers an unblemished image. The non-degraded
signal reduces flicker and leads to a clearer picture. HDMI
intelligently communicates the highest output resolution with the source
device. The HDMI input is fully backward compatible with DVI sources but
includes digital audio. HDMI uses HDCP copy protection. With 2 HDMI inputs
you can connect multiple HD sources, for instance an HD settop box, and a
Blu-ray player. Your TV is fully prepared for the HD future.
PC input lets you also use your TV as a PC monitor
With PC input you can connect your TV to a computer and use
the TV as a PC monitor.
