3.2.11 Fast Connect Commands
$F – Fast Connect Control
This command allows configuring of the client modem to connect to a central site modem
that supports non-standard V.22, V.22 bis, and V.29 fast connect protocols. It is used in
conjunction with S17.
Syntax
$F
Defined Values
Decimal number which specifies the initial requested mode of
operation when the modem is operating as the originator. The
options are:
0 Normal connection (Default)
1 Fast connect without answer tone
2 V.22 FastConnect
3 Fast connect with answer tone
4 V.29 FastPOS
6 V.29 FastPOS with alternate sequence
