2. Attach a Power Supply: Adapter/Charger or Charged Battery.
A. Adapter/Charger
1. Connect one end of the DC power cord
to the DC OUT jack on the adapter/
charger and the other end to the DC IN
6.5V jack on the camcorder.
2. Plug in the adapter/charger. The
adapter/charger’s POWER indicator
will light.

B. Charged Battery*
1. Make sure the camcorder’s POWER
switch is OFF.
2. Match the lines on the battery and
camcorder. '
3. Hold the battery flush against the
camcorder, and slide it in the direction
of the arrow until it locks into place.
* The battery must be charged before it can be used.
Details are on page 17.
3. Attach the shoulder strap.
A. Unfasten one end of the shoulder strap from
the buckle. Leave the buckle on the strap.
B. Thread one end of the shoulder strap through
one of the shoulder strap rings.
C. Thread the strap back into the buckle. Pull on
the strap and make sure it is securely fastened
before using it to support the camcorder.

D. Repeat steps A-C for the other end of the
