8-1. ANTENNA
8-1-1. Fixed Station
Various types of fixed station antennas are commer
cially available. Select your antenna according to
available space and intended application.
Transceiver performance depends largely on the
Yagi antennas
type of antenna used. For fixed station operation
there are ground plane antennas (omnidirectional)
and Yagi antennas (unidirectional). The Yagi antenna
is suitable for DX (Long distance) operation or com
munication with a specific party.

operation are available. Please consult your dealer
for information on these antennas.

For gutter-mount installation, the antenna bracket
must be grounded to the car body as shown below.
Attach the antenna securely, referring to the antenna
installation instructions provided with the antenna.
