The Stitch and Its Uses
Use this stitch to join two pieces of
fabric
to
create
an
open
work
appearance and add design interest.
Here's How

Fold under each fabric edge 5/8"
and press.
Pin the two edges to paper or tear
away backing 1/8" apart.
Sew slowly, guiding the fabric so
the... needle...catches...the... Mded
edge on each side.

what special effects are possible.
Here's How
1. Adjust the stitch width and length
as you desire.
2. Practice the stitch on a scrap of
fabric.

Mark the line for decoration on

marker.

Lower the needle at the starting
point.

Lower the presser foot.

Gently guide the fabric along the
maked line.
