Appendix C: Map Legend
Highways and spur roads
Highways and spur roads are represented with
double green lines with yellow contours in
case they are toll-free or with red lines with
yellow contours in case they are toll roads.
Main roads
Main roads are represented with yellow lines.
They can have one or more lanes. The width
provides indications on the number of lanes
and on the degree of importance. The blue
arrows show the direction of one-ways.
Secondary roads
Secondary roads are represented with white
lines. They can have one or more lanes. The
width provides indications on the number of
lanes and on the degree of importance. The
blue arrows show the direction of one-ways.
Areas
Areas with different destinations are
represented with different colours. Parks are
represented in green, urban areas in yellow,
extra-urban areas in pale grey, industrial
areas in dark grey.
Walkways
Walkways are represented with purple lines.
The red icon with the white cross represents
thoroughfare prohibitions.
POI
The points of interests are represented with
special icons that can be displayed or hided.
