The CLIMs include two full-duplex, fixed-rate interface ports that convert and extend 100Mbps
Ethernet data through the User and Extension Ports. The LNK/Rx and Tx LEDs near the User and
Extension port connectors show the status for those ports. Table 3 shows the LED states for various
port conditions.
• The User Port receives and transmits 100Base-T Ethernet signal on UTP twisted pair cable.
• The Extension Port receives and transmits the Ethernet signal over multimode or single mode
fiber at various wavelengths:
• Multimode 850 - 1310nm
• Single mode 1310 - 1550nm
