1. Product Description
1.1
Product Overview
The AM4204 is an Advanced Mezzanine Card (AMC) from Kontron supporting both multi-core processor
and10GbE technologies enabling intelligent network services. The AM4204 AMC is cost competitive with
other Ad-vancedMC cards, optimized for layer 4 to 7 data and security processing, targeting access and
service provid-ers with 3G/4G BTS, RNC, xGSN and Media Gateways.
The AM4204 provides 4x 1GbE ports to the front and software configurable Interfaces to the Fabric side
(PCIe,4x 1GbE or XAUI). AMC GbE on Ports 0 and 1 are connected to the processor for boot support and
management.
