1. Set the glazing on the silicone spacer gaskets making sure glazing is pressed firmly onto the setting blocks of the temporary retainers.
2. Refer to Volume 2, pages 21 and 22 of the S-8000 Unitized Curtain Wall Assembly Instructions for assembly details and notes.
3. It is necessary to glaze one side of the corner unit, allow proper cure time, and then glaze the opposite side. Frames should not be moved until the sealant
has cured and per the sealant manufacturer’s recommendations.
4. Laying the unit flat, exterior side up, will make setting and caulking the glazing faster and with better quality control.
Set glazing onto the silicone
spacer gaskets and against
the setting blocks at the
temporary glazing locators.
Note: Assembled corner units will
typically weigh in excess of 500
pounds. Proper assembly tables
and handling equipment must be
considered to facilitate safe and
speedy production methods.
