When you wish to resume recording, open the LCD panei.
• The ON/OFF (CFIG) indicator turns back green and the camcorder is
ready to record.
• liltWI You can aiso puii out the viewfinder to start recording with the
LCD panei ciosed. Restore the viewfinder to its originai position to
set the camcorder to standby mode.

IMPORTANT
Do not disconnect the power source during standby mode (whiie the
ON/OFF (CHG) indicator is iit in orange).
NOTES
The camcorder wiii not enter standby mode if the LCD panei is ciosed
whiie the ACCESS indicator is on or flashing, whiie a menu is being dis-
piayed, or whiie the viewfinder is puiied out
ililtWI oniy). The camcorder
may aiso not enter standby mode if the LCD panei is ciosed whiie the
doubie memory card siot cover is open or when the battery charge is
too iow. Check that the ON/OFF (CHG) indicator changes to orange.
About standby mode and auto power otf:
- The camcorder wiii power off automaticaiiy if ieft in standby mode for

minutes. Press

to turn on the camcorder.
- You can seiect the iength of time untii shut-off or turn off the Quick
Start function aitogether with the | fr | # [Power Saving Mode] O
[Quick Start (Standby)] setting.
- The usuai 5-minute auto power off setting of [Power Saving Mode] is
not appiicabie whiie the camcorder is in standby mode.
Changing the position of the mode switch whiie the camcorder is in
standby mode wiii reactivate the camcorder in the operating mode
seiected.
