If nothing at all is displayed in the LCD

panel, the battery may be inserted back­

wards. Remove the battery and reinsert it

correctly.

When not using the camera, set the com­

mand

dial

to

D

to

prevent

unnecessary

battery

depletion

or

accidental

shutter

re­

lease.

c* : When the battery indicator is only half

full, have a new battery handy.

replace the battery with a new one.

If the empty battery indicator is blink­

ing, refer to page 72.
