Error writing on the memory card. Data may be recovered if the memory card has not been removed.
Attempt recovering the data?
- This message will appear the next time you turn on the camcorder if power supply was accidentally
interrupted while the camcorder was writing on the memory card. Select [Yes] to try to recover the recordings.
If you removed the memory card and used it with another device after this happened, we recommend you
select [No].
File name error
- The folder and file numbers have reached their maximum value. Set
[Photo Numbering] to [Reset]
(
96) and delete all the photos on the memory card (
63) or initialize it (
31).
Function not available in
mode
- You pressed a button that cannot be used in
mode (while the
button's blue light is on). Press
the
button to set the camcorder to flexible recording mode.
HDD error
- There is a problem with the hard disk. Initialize the hard disk (
31).
HDD is full
- The hard disk is full (“
END” appears on the screen). Delete some recordings (
42, 63) to free some
space.
Initialize only using the camcorder
- There is a problem with the file system that prevents accessing the selected media. Initialize the recording
media with this camcorder (
31).
May not be possible to record movies on this memory card
- You may not be able to record movies on a memory card without a Speed Class rating. Replace the memory
card with one rated Speed Class 2 or higher.
Memory card cover is open
- After inserting a memory card, close the memory card slot cover (
30).
Memory card is full
- The memory card is full. Delete some recordings (
42, 63) to free some space or replace the memory
card.
Memory card is write-protected
- The LOCK switch on an SD or SDHC memory card is set to prevent accidental erasure. Change the position of
the LOCK switch (
116).
Memory card Number of scenes already at maximum
- The memory card already contains the maximum number of scenes; no further scenes can be copied onto the
memory card. Delete some recordings (
42, 63) to free some space.
Memory card Unable to recognize the data
- The memory card contains scenes recorded in a different television system (NTSC).
Need to recover files from the memory card. Change the position of the LOCK switch on the memory card.
- This message will appear the next time you turn on the camcorder if power supply was accidentally
interrupted while the camcorder was writing on the memory card and later the position of the card's LOCK
switch was changed to prevent erasure. Change the position of the LOCK switch (
116).
