Press f/4' to highlight ShT VCR Pius +
CHANNELS, then press OK.
The SMART Cl 1ANNEL MAPPING menu
appears.
Press t/4 to highlight AUTO, then press
OK.
The instruction shown on the right
appears on the TV screen for few seconds,
then the screen returns to the noimni
display.
!f the program information signal in your
area has several charutel map patterns, the
CHOOSE YOUR CABLE CH MAP menu
appears, and you must select the channel
map. See "To select tl»e channel map"
below.
Press i/(!) lo turn off the VCR.
The VCR sets the program guide channels from 0:00 am to 5:00 am
while the VCR is tunied off, (It takes about 1 hour to complete
channel rruipping.)

If the program iidormahon signal in your area
has several charmel map patterns (up to 8), the
CHOOSE YOUR CABLE CH MAP menu
appears;
• the first time you turn on the VCR after
completing channel mapping
• after selecting AUTO and pressing OK on the
SMART CHANNEL MAPPING menu
In this case, you have to select the channel пгар
on the CHOOSE YOUR CABLE CH MAP menu,

2 Press to highlight the channel map number you want by checking
the cliannel number in the program guide.
3 Press OK.
Notes
• It takes about 1 hour to complete channel mapping.
• Ttio VCR can receive the program infonnation signal only while the VCR is turned
off and no timer recordings are set.
• The VCR cannot set the guide channels correctly unics.s you enter Uie ZIP/I4')STAL
CODE in your area.
• When you move to a different area, you must set up the VCK again and enter your
new ЛР/Р05ТЛЕ CODE in the EASY SET UP procedure.

To set the guide chaimels, use the
O annel line-up Chart to check that the
guide channel numbers match the TV

ex.imple, if HBO is listed in the Channel
