Charging the battery pack
Before you start using your telephone, charge the supplied battery
pack for more than 10 hours.
Also, it is recommended that you charge the battery pack as often as
possible by placing the cordless handset (with the battery pack in it)
on the base unit.

If the lid comes off, you can
replace it easily by snapping it

otherwise, the battery pack may
not be fully charged.

compartment, then close the lid.
Place the cordless handset on the base unit.
The CHARGE lamp lights when the cordless handset is
properly seated on the charge terminals of the base unit.
The lamp will remain on even after the battery is fully
charged.
Notes on charging---------------------------------------
• The battery pack supplied uses a unique lead acid battery,
which works best when recharged often. By replacing the
handset to the base unit when not in use, you can always use
the phone with a full charge. Unlike nickel-cadmium batteries,
you do not need to wait until the battery becomes low to
recharge.
• Avoid leaving the handset without charging the battery for an
extended period of time so that the battery runs down
completely. This can shorten the batter/s life, as well as erase
the memory dial numbers (page 22) and the digital security
code (page 17). If this happens, charge it on the base unit for
over 10 hours. Then reprogram the memory dial numbers. You
may need to charge the battery several times before it is
recharged to its full capacity.
