Message Cause and countermeasure
Smart Space Silence continued for 3 or more but less than 30 seconds during digital recording,
so the Smart Space function activated to replace the silence with a blank of about
3 seconds.
If you do not want to shorten the space between tracks, turn off the Smart Space
function (see page 44).
Text Protect There is information in the CD text that cannot be recorded on an MD.
Press NAME EDIT/CHARACTER and then ENTER/YES to record the title of
the current track.
TCXI Reading The deck is reading the MD Table of Contents (TOC).
-> Wait until "TCXT Reading" disappears.
Do not move the deck until "TOC Reading" disappears to ensure proper
reading.
TOC writing The MD Table of Contents (T(DC) is being updated.
^ Wait until "TCXT writing" disappears.
Do not move the deck until "TCiC writing" disappears to ensure the complete
recording or editing.
Track End You have reached the end of the disc while adjusting the position to be divided by
the Divide Function.
^ Change the position (see page 58).

OFF TIME NG ! You have set the start time and the end time for timer recording to the same time.
