Repeat steps 4 to 6 to complete the
entire title.
If you made a mistake
Press CURSOR or —► until the
character you want to change flashes,
then repeat steps 4 to 6.
To erase the character
Press CLEAR. Each time you press the
button, the character at the position of
the cursor is erased.
You cannot insert characters.

Press ENTER/YES to complete the
labeling procedure.
The titles you entered appear
sequentially, then the display returns to
the display in step 1.
To cancel labeling
Press I for the MD.
Copying a disc or track
title
You can copy a labeled disc or track title to
use it as a title of another track or the disc title
within a disc.

Press MENU/NO so "Edit Menu" appears.

Turn MULTI JOG until "Name ?" appears,
then press ENTER/YES.

Turn MULTI JOG until "Nm Copy ?"
appears, then press ENTER/YES.

Turn MULTI JOG to select "Disc" (when
copying the disc title) or the track number
with the title you want to copy, then press
ENTER/YES.
When *No Name"
appears
The disc or track has not been labeled.
5 Turn MULTI JOG to select the copy
destination track number or "Disc" (when
copying as the disc title), then press
ENTER/YES.
When "Overwrite ??" appears
The copy destination already has a disc or track
title. To continue and copy the title, press
ENTER/YES.
To cancel copying
Press ■ for the MD.
Checking the titles
To check the disc title, press SCROLL on the
remote while the deck is stopped. To check
the track title, press SCROLL on the remote
while in play. The title appears scrolling in
the display. To stop scrolling, press SCROLL.
Press the button again to restart scrolling.
You can also check the titles as follows.
• To check a disc title, press MD D.SKIP on
the remote repeatedly in stop mode until
the desired MD appears.
• To check a track title, turn MULTI JOG in
stop mode until the desired track number
appears.
Notes
• You can also display disc and track titles by
pressing UPPER DISPLAY, but only the first 14
characters appear. The remaining characters do
not scroll in the display.
• You can label a track title while recording, but you
must complete the labeling before the track ends.
