【INSTALLATION PROCEDURE】
1. Attach the included stud bolt to the TOMEI joint pipe using the 'double nut' method.
① Attach the 'double nut' to the long end of the stud bolt.
② Attach the stud bolt to the joint pipe.
③ Use a torque wrench to tighten down.
Specified torque 24.5∼29.4N・m
(2.5kgf-m∼3.0kgf-m)
④ Remove the 'double nut'
CAUTION
When removing the nuts, ensure you
do not move the stud bolt.
If the bolt was moved, repeat the above
procedure.
Attach 'double nut' here To joint pipe
Long Short
※Attach using the 'double nut'.
※Be sure to use the correct ends.
※Apply the included Bolt Smooth Paste
to prevent the parts from becoming seized.
2. Temporarily place the joint pipe at the sub-frame.
3. Install the exhaust manifold.
4. Test fit the joint pipe to the exhaust manifold using the included gasket（① on previous page）,
flange bolts（② on previous page）and flange nuts（④ on previous page）.
※Use the included gasket（① on previous page）, flange bolts（② on previous page）
and flange nuts（④ on previous page）.
5. Test fit the joint pipe to the catalytic converter using the included
gasket（① on previous page） and flange nuts（④ on previous page）.
※Use the included gasket（① on previous page） and flange nuts（④ on previous page）.
6. Ensuring sufficient clearance with surrounding parts, tighten down the components in
order starting from the flange at the exhaust manifold end.
Tightening torque Flange nuts at exhaust manifold end [35N・m(3.6kgf-m)]
Flange nuts at catalytic converter end [35N・m(3.6kgf-m)]
CAUTION
・ Ensure sufficient clearance and correct fitment has been achieved before
tightening down the nuts and bolts completely. In some cases, there may be insufficient
clearance due to differences in vehicle specification. In such a case, loosen the bolts
of each component and adjust the product until sufficient clearance is achieved before
re-tightening down all the bolts.
・ Using the product whilst there is oil or other debris on it can cause blemishes or
burn marks. Ensure all parts are degreased after installation.
・ Ensure that appropriate thermal insulation is installed for the parts and intended use
of the vehicle.
