① 12 POINTS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE CYLINDER (CLEARANCES)
The marked areas as shown on the illustration
on the left, shows the 12 points where the
Conrods may make contact with the cylinder
block. Process the required machining with a
grinder to allow 1mm-1.5mm clearance when
required. (shown with the mark)
《REFERENCE》
What is shown on the left is what is available
through the Tomei Tuning service.
Remove enough metal from the 12 points
as shown on the Cylinder Block
② PISTON OIL JET MODIFICATION (When not using TOMEI Pistons)
When using Tomei Pistons pre- August 2008, Stock pistons and some
aftermarket pistons will need extra work to prevent the oil jets from
making contact with the pistons.
CAUTION
Perform the required modification as noted above when required.
【OTHERS】
Depending on the piston used, the RB28 Kit will change
in specs. Check the pistons crown before assembly so you
will know what is the best head gasket thickness to use.

OIL JET SPACER INSTALLATION
Install all 6 Oil Jet Spacers as shown on the left.
When installing the oil jet spacers, check the positioning and clearances.
Once all are safely verified, then tighten into position.
CAUTION
・Install the oil jet spacers.
・The lower part of the Piston will make contact with the
Oil Jets if the spacers aren't installed. This then will cause
engine failure.
