• Expansion mode (non-zoning)
In expansion mode, the storage sled SAS expander board supports 24 x 2.5
SSD hard-drives from a dual-cable connection.
The figure below shows a dual path connection from a single-RAID
compute sled connected to the storage sled’s external mini-SAS A1 and A2
connectors. In this mode, the hard-drives in the storage sled are cascaded
for extended storage capacity.
