Pressure gauges

Transport lock
channels will not

transport.
U-shaped clip in lock channel not
clasping cylinder rod securely.
Tighten or loosen clip by turning bolt on clip. Replace
clip if necessary.
Hydraulic cylinders have not settled
against lock channels before
transporting.
Make sure hydraulic cylinders have settled against
lock channels before transporting. The weight of the
cylinders help hold lock channels in place.
Hydraulic marker
functioning
improperly
Air or oil leaks in hose fittings or
connections.
Check all hose fittings and connections for air or oil
leaks.
Low tractor hydraulic oil level.
Check tractor hydraulic oil level.
Loose or missing bolts or fasteners.
Check all bolts and fasteners.
Needle valve plugged.
Open needle valve, cycle markers slowly and reset
needle valve, refer to page 64.
Marker disk does
not mark
Marker folding linkage does not have
enough slack to allow marker disk to
drop into field depressions.
Maximum down float should be limited by the slot at
the rod end of marker cylinder.
Marker disk orientation.
Reverse marker disk to pull or throw dirt.
Chain
Debris/no retainer clip
Be sure retainer clip is facing opposite way of chain
travel.
