Ground Drive Operation
The 3P4025AH can be configured with either two ground
drives (located one at each wing) or three ground drives
with the third drive located on the center section.
On units with three ground drives, each section is driven
by an independent drive wheel assembly that allows for
more seeding flexibility and a variety of field conditions.
Either wing section can be completely folded while
leaving the remaining wing and center sections to
continue planting seed, this allows for maneuvering
around obstructions such as poles and also allows for
other planting situations where it may be useful to
employ two sections instead of all three sections of the
planter.
The ground drives use a standard rubber tire see “Tire
Inflation Chart” on page 106.
