Install Meter Drives
Start with the left drill section.
Refer to Figure 15
35. At the lower rear right corner of the seed box side
wall , remove one each:
803-020C NUT HEX 1/2-13 PLT
804-015C WASHER LOCK SPRING 1/2 PLT
802-034C HHCS 1/2-13X1 1/4 GR5
These fasteners are not re-used.
36. Select one new:
133-381K 5000 SMLSDS RH MOUNT&DRIVE ASY
and two sets new:
802-203C HFSS 1/2-13X1 1/2 GR5
804-113C WASHER FLAT 1/2 USS HARD PLT
803-020C NUT HEX 1/2-13 PLT
37. Position the mount over the lower holes and
drop the two bolts in the holes to verify
alignment. Add a washer and spin on a
nut , finger tight.
38. Select two sets new:
802-203C HFSS 1/2-13X1 1/2 GR5
804-113C WASHER FLAT 1/2 USS HARD PLT
803-020C NUT HEX 1/2-13 PLT
39. Using a flanged bolt , lock washer and
nut , secure the top end of the mount to the
right rear corner of the main seed box where the
handles or lights were formerly mounted on the box.
40. Tighten all fasteners to torque specifications.
Note: The handles and lights are not re-installed at this
time.
Repeat step 35 through step 40 for the center and right
sections.
Install Forward Components
Front component installation is different for each drill
section, and is different for drills with and without the
Fertilizer option. The front Small Seeds drive assembly is
installed in all cases.
Page 13 step 41: If the drill does not have fertilizer, your
Small Seeds kit includes an empty Fertilizer drive mount,
bearing, jackshaft, sprockets, idler and chain for each
drill section.
Page 18 step 70: With Fertilizer installed, the Small
Seeds front drives mount on top of the existing Fertilizer
drive mounts. The jackshaft is already installed, and only
requires adding a sprocket to each jackshaft.
