When the base is to be surface mounted, the legs of the frame will need to be cut so that the appropriate
mounting plate can be bolted to the concrete surface. The cut edges of the pipe should be coated with a
rust preventative paint to deter corrosion. The frame is to be secured to the concrete using the (6)
concrete anchor bolts provided.
With the frame in place, the wires run through the conduit stubs should be routed through the conduit plate
on the top left side of the frame. Flexible conduit should be installed between the conduit stub and
mounting plate to protect and separate the high and low voltage circuits. The flex conduit should be
secured to the conduit plate using a suitable nut.
2.4 Mounting the Sentinel
Before setting the Sentinel in place, ensure the field-installed wires are routed to a point where they can be
accessed and pulled through the wiring holes on the bottom of the Sentinel and that the plastic sheath has
been fitted over the base.
