5. CORRECT OPERATION
5-1. Selecting the needle and thread

5-2. Installing the needle
Loosen the set screw (1), insert the needle (2) as far as it
will go so that the groove is facing toward you and then
tighten the set screw (1).
3. Add oil to the felt (1) of the shuttle race base.
* When setting up the sewing machine and when it
hasn't been used for an extended period of time, be
sure to add 2-3 drops oil to the felt.
4. If using the liquid cooling tank (1), fill it with silicon oil (100
mm 2 /s).
