Error message Cause Remedy
Check Sensor/Lamp No increase in temperature is
being recorded. Possible cau-
ses:
￭ The temperature sensor
has not been inserted in
the sample.
￭ The sample holder includ-
ing the temperature sensor
has not been inserted into
the wet end.
￭ The UV lamp is defective.
￭ The electronics are defec-
tive.
￭ Insert the temperature sen-
sor into the sample.
￭ Insert the sample holder
including the temperature
sensor into the instrument.
￭ Replace the UV lamp (see
Chapter 7.2.1, page 34).
￭ Contact your local Metrohm
Service department.
Dev. busy cooling The UV lamp is too hot to be
switched on again. Wait for the end of the cooling
process (Lamp cooling status
message disappears).
Thermo switch open The instrument is defective.
Overtemperature protection is
switching off the electronic
ballast. Contact your local Metrohm
Service department.

The configured
digestion tempera-
ture cannot be
saved. The entered temperature is
outside the input range of
80 - 100 °C. Set a temperature within the input range.
