8.1
Error messages
The following error messages can occur when operating the 909 UV
Digester. Follow the instructions in the "Remedy" column and acknowl-
edge each of the error messages by pressing the [QUIT] button.
Error message
Cause
Remedy
Max. temp. reached
The temperature in the wet
end is above 105 °C. The UV
lamp is switched off automat-
ically.

Check the sample matrix
and adjust it if necessary.
■
Check whether sample fluid
may have evaporated and
refill the sample if neces-
sary.
■
Check the fan and clear it if
jammed (see Chapter 7.2.2,
page 35).
■
Contact your local Metrohm
Service department.
Adj. data missing
The instrument is not ready
for operation since the check-
sum for the calibration data
was incorrect when the
instrument was switched on.
■
Switch the instrument off
and back on.
■
Contact your local Metrohm
Service department.
Lamp exhausted
The maximum lifetime config-
ured for the UV lamp in the
Lamp setup dialog has been
reached.
Replace the UV lamp (see
Chapter 7.2.1, page 34).
No sensor connectd
The temperature sensor is
either not connected or incor-
rectly connected.

Check the temperature sen-
sor's connection.
■
Connect the temperature
sensor.
