5 Carrying out sample digestion

Note
Leave the PTFE stoppers on the sample vessels until you are ready
to continue using the samples.
3 Switch off the 909 UV Digester or carry out additional sample diges-
tion processes.
Canceling sample digestion
Proceed as follows if you would like to stop a sample digestion process
before the radiating time has elapsed:
1 Press the [START / STOP] key.
The UV lamp is switched off.
2 Wait for the samples to cool (the fan switches off after 10 min).
3 Remove the sample holder with the samples from the wet end.
4 Switch off the 909 UV Digester or carry out additional sample diges-
tion processes.
Note
Opened samples smell like ammonia or fish (amine)
If an open sample smells like ammonia or fish, you need to increase the
amount of acid and/or H
2
O
2
being added.
